The short version
- These terms cover your use of studioidd.com.
- What the site says is general information, not advice.
- Work we do for clients is covered by a separate written agreement, not by these terms.
- Bulgarian law applies, and your mandatory consumer rights stay intact.
1. Who runs this site, and what do these terms cover?
studioidd.com (the “site”) is run by Studio IDD, a design and development studio based in Bulgaria. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean Studio IDD.
- hello@studioidd.com
By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it. These terms are about the site only. Work for clients is covered in section 5.
How we handle personal data and cookies is explained in our privacy policy.
2. How may you use the site?
You are welcome to browse the site, read it and contact us. You agree not to:
- break the law or the rights of others through the site;
- try to get unauthorised access, probe for weaknesses, or disturb the site or the servers behind it;
- send malware, spam or bulk automated submissions through our forms or the newsletter signup;
- use bots or scripts to copy large parts of the site or to overload it;
- pretend to be someone else, or send another person’s details to us without their knowledge.
If these rules are broken, we may block access and remove what was submitted.
We may change, pause or remove any part of the site at any time. We do not promise that it will always be available or free of errors.
3. Who owns what is on the site?
The site’s design, text, code, illustrations, logos and other content belong to us or to those who license them to us, and are protected by copyright and other laws. “Studio IDD” and our logo are our brand. Names, logos and work of our clients and partners belong to their owners and appear only to show what we do.
You may view the site and keep a copy of a page for your own use, for example to assess our work. You may quote short extracts of our articles if you credit Studio IDD and link to the original page. Anything beyond that, such as copying, republishing, selling or changing our content, needs our written permission.
What you send us
You keep your rights in what you send through our forms or by email. You allow us to use it to answer you and to deal with your request, as explained in the privacy policy. Please do not send anything you have no right to share. If you need a confidentiality agreement before you share details of your idea, tell us first and we will talk about it.
4. Is the information on the site advice?
No. The site, including our articles on design, product and engineering, gives general information. It is not legal, financial, technical or other professional advice, and you should not rely on it as such for decisions about your own situation.
We take care to keep the content accurate, but we give no warranty that it is complete, current or fit for a particular purpose. Examples of our past work show what we have done. They are not a promise of any result for you.
Nothing on the site is an offer that you can accept. A contract with us exists only when we have both agreed to it in writing.
5. How is project work agreed?
Work we do for a client is governed by a separate written agreement or an accepted proposal. That document sets the scope, fees, schedule, deliverables, ownership of the results and everything else that applies to that project.
These terms do not commit us to take on any project, and they do not state prices, payment terms, timelines or guarantees. Conversations, estimates and examples on the site are not binding unless they appear in the signed agreement or accepted proposal. If the project document and these terms differ, the project document prevails for that project.
6. How does the referral program work?
The referral program page describes it. You send us your details and those of someone who may need our services. We get in touch with them and talk through what they need. The page states that when they become a client, you earn a 5% commission.
The site does not set out what the commission is calculated on, when it is due or how it is paid. Those details are agreed with you in writing for the referral concerned. Sending the form does not by itself create a right to payment, and referring someone does not oblige us to work with them.
Refer only someone who knows you are passing on their details and is happy to hear from us. You are responsible for having the right to share those details. We handle your data and your friend’s data as described in the privacy policy.
7. What about links to other sites?
The site links to websites we do not run, including the share buttons for social networks and sites of clients and partners. We do not control them, we do not endorse everything on them, and we are not responsible for their content, security or privacy practices. Their own terms and policies apply when you visit them.
8. What are we responsible for?
We provide the site and its content “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss that comes from your use of the site or from relying on its content, including indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, lost business and loss of data. We are also not liable for interruptions, errors or harmful code that we did not cause, or for the content and actions of third-party sites.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including liability for intent or gross negligence and for death or personal injury. If you are a consumer, your mandatory rights under consumer law are not affected.
Liability for project work is governed by the agreement for that project.
9. Which law applies, and which courts?
These terms and any dispute that arises from them or from your use of the site are governed by Bulgarian law. The courts of Sofia, Bulgaria, have jurisdiction.
If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory consumer rules of the country where you live, or your right to bring a case in the courts of that country. You can also turn to the Bulgarian Commission for Consumer Protection (Комисия за защита на потребителите, kzp.bg).
We would rather solve a problem by talking. Write to hello@studioidd.com first.
10. Can these terms change?
Yes. We may update them when the site, our services or the law change. The date at the top shows the latest version, and using the site after an update means you accept the new terms from then on. Changes do not affect an agreement we have already signed for a project.
11. Is there anything else?
If a part of these terms is found invalid, the rest stays in force. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we have not given it up. These terms and the privacy policy are the whole agreement between you and us about using the site. Agreements for project work are separate.
12. How can you reach us?
