AI knowledge assistants that help people find and check answers

Useful answers often exist in your documents but take too long to find. Studio IDD builds AI knowledge assistants that retrieve relevant material, present answers with sources and respect the access rules agreed for your knowledge base.

STUDIO IDD / KNOWLEDGE ASSISTANT
Concept study · Documents · Retrieval · Grounded answers

A GOOD PLACE TO START

Put existing knowledge where people can use it

01

An internal assistant can help staff navigate policies or product documentation. A customer assistant can help people find answers in approved help content. Both depend on clear sources, current information and a way to handle missing answers.

01OUR EXPERTISE

Retrieval, citations and access by design

A considered approach, from the first question to the details that make it work.

01

Source inventory and preparation

We map documents, owners and update processes, then identify duplicates and coverage gaps that could undermine the assistant.

02

Retrieval-augmented generation

RAG retrieves relevant passages before generating an answer. It grounds the response in selected material rather than relying only on a model’s general knowledge.

03

Verifiable answers

Source links let users inspect the information behind an answer. Citations need evaluation too; their presence alone does not prove the answer is correct.

04

Permissions and fresh content

Access checks, document updates and removal behaviour are planned for the source systems. The assistant needs a defined response when it cannot find suitable evidence.

02HOW WE WORK

From documents to a tested assistant

Each stage moves the work forward. You see the decisions, review the progress and know what comes next.

  1. 01

    Review sources

Agree coverage, permissions and the intended audience.

  2. 02

    Build retrieval

Connect and index the approved material.

  3. 03

    Evaluate

Test real questions, unsupported questions and access boundaries.

  4. 04

    Roll out

Place the assistant in the agreed interface and collect feedback.

03BUILT TO HAND OVER

What is delivered

  • The scoped assistant, source connections, evaluation set and operating guidance.

Ask a Question
The assistant is built around your selected sources and workflows, with retrieval and source references.
Yes. Retrieval and citations help, but outputs must be tested and a route for reporting errors kept available.
That can be part of the scope. We review identity and source permissions before defining the retrieval rules.
The timeline is agreed after scope review, because source formats, permission complexity, content quality and update frequency affect cost and schedule. Work follows the stages of reviewing sources, building retrieval, evaluating and rolling out the assistant. Evaluation includes unsupported questions and access boundaries as well as common questions.
Retrieval-augmented generation, or RAG, retrieves relevant passages from your documents before a model writes an answer. This grounds the response in selected material rather than relying only on general model knowledge. The generating model can be Claude, GPT, Gemini or an open model such as Llama or Mistral, chosen for the task.
The assistant needs a defined response when it cannot find suitable evidence in the approved sources. That response can say the information is not available and point users to a route for reporting gaps. Test those cases during evaluation, since missing answers matter as much as correct ones.
