Product design that turns complex tasks into clear user journeys

Users need to complete a task, not figure out your interface. Studio IDD combines product discovery, UX research and UI design to shape digital products around the people using them and the business behind them.

Let's discuss
IDEAS INTO EXPERIENCES

Clarity.
Character.

A GOOD PLACE TO START

Design a new product or resolve friction in an existing one

01

For a new product, we help define the first useful version. For an existing platform, we investigate where people hesitate, repeat steps or abandon a task. Research and testing are scoped to the decisions that need evidence.

01OUR EXPERTISE

From understanding users to buildable interfaces

A considered approach, from the first question to the details that make it work.

01

Discovery and UX review

We examine the problem, audience and available usage data. An existing product can begin with a focused audit and a prioritised list of usability issues.

02

Information architecture and flows

Navigation, task flows and wireframes establish how the product works before visual styling. Permissions and exceptional paths are considered alongside the main journey.

03

Prototypes and usability testing

Clickable prototypes make interactions testable. Observed behaviour helps identify confusing steps and informs the next design iteration.

04

Interface design and handover

The final screens cover the agreed journeys and their loading, empty, success and error states. Components and annotations help developers implement the intended behaviour.

02HOW WE WORK

The product design process

Each stage moves the work forward. You see the decisions, review the progress and know what comes next.

  1. 01

    Frame the problem

Agree users, goals and open questions.

  2. 02

    Map the experience

Translate findings into flows and wireframes.

  3. 03

    Test the interaction

Build a prototype, observe users and refine the journey.

  4. 04

    Prepare the UI

Complete the visual system and developer handover.

03BUILT TO HAND OVER

What your product team receives

  • Research findings, agreed flows, wireframes, a prototype and organised interface files for the scoped work.

Ask a Question
Yes. We can coordinate specifications and implementation questions with your engineering team.
Not always. A focused change to onboarding or a critical task may be a better first step.
Product design focuses on repeated use, roles and task completion inside software. Web design usually focuses on explaining an offer and guiding visitors towards a conversion.
The schedule for a product design project is agreed after scope review, because complexity, research access and the number of journeys affect it. Discovery, flows, prototyping and interface design are planned in stages, so each decision can be reviewed before the next begins.
You need the product or idea, the main task users must complete, and any usage data or support feedback already available. Existing material is useful, but it does not need to be complete before discovery starts. Research access, such as contact with users, should be agreed early.
Product design can cover internal tools, dashboards and customer-facing software where users complete repeated tasks. Permissions, roles and exceptional paths are considered alongside the main journey. Research and testing are scoped to the decisions that need evidence, so the depth of work matches the question.
