The challenge
When a medicine is in short supply, patients call pharmacy after pharmacy without knowing where to look. The associations wanted a simple app where a patient asks once and the request reaches the people who can find the medicine.
What we designed
- A request form with three fields: the medicine, a contact phone and the town, plus clear consent that the data is used only for the search and is not stored in the app.
- A list of medicines with suspended supply, showing for each one whether the stop is temporary or permanent and until when, with new entries marked apart from unchanged ones.
- A hotline and information screens on why medicines run short, what can be done about it and the role of distributors.
- A teal to green brand with a hexagon pill icon, used from the splash screen to the menu.
- A side menu with the associations, the hotline, legal information and social links, and a floating button that brings the patient back to the search.

The outcome
A focused app design where finding a missing medicine takes one short form, with the context patients need right next to it.
