A personal website for an endocrinologist that books appointments and answers patients before the first visit.
The client
Dr Maria Kalinkova is an endocrinologist practising in Sofia and Gotse Delchev. She treats thyroid conditions, diabetes, weight problems and hormonal imbalance, and she writes and speaks about hormones for a wide audience.

The challenge
Patients come to an endocrinologist with a lot of questions and often with worry. The site had to feel personal and warm rather than clinical, make booking obvious for every type of visit, and give the doctor a home for the articles and media appearances that build her reputation.
What we did
- Designed a light, friendly visual language with soft illustrated accents around a clear portrait, so the first impression is a person, not a clinic.
- Put booking at the centre: primary visit, follow-up, online consultation and an individual nutrition plan, each with its own route.
- Built a patient questions hub that answers the most common concerns before the appointment.
- Added practical health tools, a BMI calculator and a HOMA index calculator, that patients return to.
- Structured the blog by topic: nutrition and movement, metabolic conditions, vitamins, hormones and mood, women’s and men’s health.
- Delivered the whole site in Bulgarian and English, with newsletter sign-up and an Instagram feed.
